In this new collaborative work, Yves B Golden is joined by artist and musician, Stephen Hill and dancer and musician, Q Stuckey. Q can be seen as the mover and the only present body in this nearly 19-minute video and Yves can be heard reading her own poetry, the sound of her voice layered with other sounds produced by Yves and Stephen.
Yves B. Golden with Stephen Hill were among the many invited Platform 2020 artists whose performances were canceled due to the pandemic closings. Yves is also a co-founder of the Herbal Mutual Aid Network: a grassroots organization providing free plant-based care for Black people seeking support due to the ongoing crisis of racial violence and injustice. – Danspace NYC
